August Staubus is a graduate researcher in the Chappell Lab. His research focuses on developing RNA-based tools for regulating gene expression, reporting on intracellular conditions, and biosensing. Specifically, his current work focuses on designing a self-splicing intron that responds to small molecules or to other RNAs. His skills include molecular cloning, library generation, high-throughput screening, and microbial engineering.
